Ithaca City Schools District Superintendent, Dr. Luvelle Brown is collaborating with HOPE Foundation, Founder, President and Ithaca resident, Alan Blankstein to kick-off the How Schools Work Series.

The How Schools Work Series goes beyond what to do to assure student success and directly into how it is being done in schools throughout North America -- right now. The fact is that schools are succeeding. Importing gurus is misguided because The Answer Is in the Room. Every school has excellent teaching going on, and every district has successful schools. The challenge has been in scaling that success. HOPE's past decade has been spent developing and field-testing a method for scaling success already underway in schools. Now you can see that in action.

This event features Luvelle Brown, Tom Guskey, Ken O'Connor, and Alan Blankstein, our President and author of the Award-winning Failure Is Not an Option® and newest book The Answer Is in the Room.

The series highlights schools that are succeeding and provides a "live from" feature FOCUSING ON success that demonstrates exactly how success is occurring.

Facilitated processing time is built into the event agenda. Your team will connect cutting-edge research to your long-term goals. This gathering is designed to encourage interactions between you and other committed educational leaders. You will have an opportunity to share with and learn from your colleagues about what is working.Attendees will see the practices and skills learned during the conference being successfully applied in an actual educational setting.
