Dog days of staff development

One of my favorite blogs is The Principal’s Page.  Written by Superintendent Michael Smith, this blog is upbeat and funny.

Here is one of his blog posts comparing the aspects of training his new puppy to conducting staff development.  All in good fun.

    Thank you for the nice comment.

    I was thinking about going on the road and talkiing about Staff Development, Discipline, Technology, etc., but Buddy the Dog wants 75% of all speaking fees. Something about him being much better looking.

    And cooler.

    I don’t think this is fair. He doesn’t even have thumbs.

    I hear you Mike! It’s a dog’s life as they say! Actually - that doesn’t sound so bad some days.

    Well, except for the fleas part, and the getting spayed part, and the short life span part, and the sleeping in the garage part.

    Wait a minute - I already get kickedo out to the garage some times…..
