HOPE Facilitator Program

Among those who attend Failure Is Not an Option® Summits and Institutes are educational leaders who want to enhance their career experiences and opportunities by enrolling in the HOPE Facilitator Program. HOPE invites volunteers who are attending the events, to become HOPE Facilitators.

All Facilitators are trained prior to the event by attending the Facilitator’s Training. This training, designed by NSDC Shirley Havens Support and Classified Staff Development Award-Winner Jan Nobuto, is led by HOPE staff who are experienced in guiding successful professional development programs. As a Facilitator, you can expect to receive solid support in further developing your leadership skills.

For those who participate, this program offers a systematic process for regular contribution to the HOPE Foundation's mission to support educational leaders over time. Participating in the HOPE Facilitator Program provides you with the opportunity to:

  • Gain valuable training on event facilitation
  • Gather feedback on educational topics from participants from all over the continent
  • Participate in special event activities to gain broad-based knowledge in professional development events
  • Network with other professionals across North America who are seeking continuous professional development
  • Obtain access to the event coordinators and speakers to help shape HOPE events

"The Failure is Not an Option conference was a very motivational experience for me. I would encourage anyone attending the conference to volunteer to be a HOPE Facilitator. The HOPE Facilitator training allowed me to bond and network with other educators across the country. We were able to share ideas and provide feedback to the HOPE Foundation staff for making positive changes during the conference which were well received and utilized. I would not hestitate to be a HOPE Facilitator again if the opportunity presented itself. I plan to send a group to the next conference and I will be sure to included them to be a part of the HOPE Facilitator training. Thank you again for inspiring me to inspire others to do all we can for the students we have because "Failure Is Not an Option."
